While capturing those essential beach memories for your summer scrapbooking you can easily run into problems protecting your camera.

One big problem is that you spend your time keeping track of your camera, and cannot get out an enjoy the beach on your vacation.
A better option is to leave the digital camera at home and bring a disposable camera. You can even buy a waterproof disposable camera. A damaged digital camera can spoil your vacation, and your opportunities to take other vacation pictures.
If you MUST bring your digital camera have a designated family member take care of the camera. Bring plenty of plastic bags to protect the camera from all of those beach dangers.
